Just The Basics Part 2

All About Cutting

There are many great tools available for cutting your paper and ribbon. Stampin' Up! has several. Today I am featuring the Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer, a variety of Punches, as well as the Big Shot and Dies.

Here are two cards using some of the tools featured here today:

 Let's get started.
Paper Snips: These are great for cutting all your paper or ribbon. They are wonderfully sharp too! But remember to use separate pairs, one for ribbon or fabric and one for paper as paper dulls your blades and won't work on your ribbon or fabric after awhile. I have mine marked which is which as to not confuse them.

Stampin' Trimmer: I love this tool, it not only cuts but you can score with it as well. It cuts paper up to 12 inches long and 6 1/2" wide. It has an extension arm that allows measuring for cutting and scoring up to 14 1/2". It has measurements every 1/16 of an inch for super small cuts/scores. For accurate placements there is a grid on the tool as well. Did I say I love this tool! Enjoy the video below:

Punches: Stampin' Up! has no less then 40 punches right now! That's right! What a variety!! They have everything from circles to balloons, to a fox, rabbit and elephant, to a leaf and so many more. These punches add great dimension  to your projects. Watch the video below:

Punch Boards: the Envelope Punch Board and the Gift Bag Punch Board. These boards are a great way to make your 3D items such as Envelopes, Boxes, Bows or Bags. I am In Love with my Envelope Punch Board. I have made so many projects with it. It really is a tool I couldn't do without.

The Big Shot and Dies: Stampin' Up! Also has a variety of Dies you can use with the Big Shot or similar cutting machine. Many of the stamp sets offered have coordinating dies. They also have stand alone dies such as the Stiched Circles or Squares, just to name a few. They offer 88 die sets at present! That's a lot of variety!! Here is a video explaining all about the Big Shot and dies.

All of these tools are available now in my On-Line Store. Stop by and shop today.
No matter the job, Stampin' Up! will get it done!!
