Welcome Baby Girl

Good Day Everyone!!

This week has brought much joy to our home. Today I will share with you the card I did for my presious grandbaby and some thank you cards made for residents at the Ronald McDonald House, for them to share with others.
Speaking of grandbaby, she is doing great! Breathing on her own, growing, and being strong and feisty. Just the way they like to see her. She did have some not so good test results but all in all she is on the upswing.

Here is her card:

My daughter loves pandas so the Panda Party set was perfect!

I also made Thank You cards for residents at the Ronald McDonald House to share with others. I made about 16 of these so far. I just love the Jar of Love stamp set! It is beautiful and you can do so much with it.

These are note card size. Just perfect for a little thank you!

Hope you enjoyed these cards. Sorry there are no tutorials but it is difficult to take progress pictures in the situation I am currently in,. Soon I will be home and back on track.

Thanks again!

Down-Line Meeting-Enjoy Life

There was a down-line meeting for our Stampin' Up! group and I made these little gems. I really enjoyed thinking out of the box using the accent stamps instead of the focal stamps.
I just love the way they turned out.

I used the new stamp set "Enjoy Life" with a little hint of the new dsp "Tranquil Textures". The front panel is a bit smaller than the back to create a fun style card. Gotta keep it interesting!

Wish I could give you all of the details but these couple of weeks have been busy.  Let me explain.
We found out the baby my daughter was carrying had a heart defect. Scary.
Well it just went on from there.
We got a call that my daughter had pre-clampsia and she was at the hospital. She was to stay there until the baby was born. Mind you she was only 7 months pregnant. The hospital she had to deliver at was 3+ hours away from her home so her husband couldn't be with her everyday.
So, I get the house in order, pay all of the bills, give hubby a run down of what's what's concerning all and then pack my bags. Two days later we are on the road. Drive 12 hours and land at the hospital. Baby and Daughter were doing good but daughter's BP wouldn't stay stable.
Long story short,
Hubby didn't get to go home because baby had to be delivered and no way was he leaving!!
May 21st we received a beautiful grand daughter. 9.5 weeks early!!
2 lb and 3 oz, a mere 14" long. Kicking and screaming, and well.
They didn't have to do heart surgery at time of delivery but it will happen, when she is stronger. Praise God. My daughter is doing so much better too. We were very lucky not to lose either one of them. We had so many prayers going up for them and they were and still are appreciated.
We are not sure of the long term affects to either mom or baby. Test results are not all in yet and some things we will just have to wait and see as time goes on for our little grand daughter. But we are pleased as peaches today. And we will take it!
Here is a pic of the two of them.

And as I type I got a call saying the cpap can come off ! Another blessing!!

As I am still down here and will be for awhile. I am not sure how these blog post will be. I am hoping to do some thank you cards for the staff at the hospital and Ronald McDonald house where we will be staying for a while. (Yes, of coarse I brought supplies, lol!) A good way to use up retired stuff and still do a kindness. We will see how much we actually get done.

Thanks again for visiting my blog and reading along. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. And thank you for your patients over the next weeks.

Card Order Part Two

Mother's Day Card and Birthday Card

As promised here is the rest of the order from last week.  The cards were a big hit I am pleased to say. I always worry that I will miss my mark and the customer will not be happy. But I am happy to say they were very happy with their order. Here is the Mother's Day Card -

I love these "cards in a box" cards. They are fun to make.

And here is the Birthday Card. I am really please with the way this card turned out as well.
It was for my client's son.

Well that's it for this week. I hope you enjoy these cards.

Thanks, Deb B

Busy Life

It's been a busy week here at the Crafting Fool's house!

I had therapy, a yard sale, yard work, therapy again, an ENT appointment,

and a card order. So of course when it came time to do my card order I had to

clean my craft room so I could find everything I needed to start the order.

Well, cleaning up always leads to finding things you forgot you had.

Of course I had to stop to admire all that cool stuff, Right!

Then guess what came, that's right, a new order from Stampin' Up!

Well that created another delay to admire that cool stuff too!!

(Geez...I am easily distracted, hee hee!)

That being said I don't have a tutorial today because I totally forgot to take

progressive pictures of all those cards I made, so finished card pictures it is!

Let me know how you like them, or not. I could always use improving ,

with your help.

And guess what? I'm not finished making all of the cards yet so......

Back to the craft room! I hope I can stay focused this time, Hee Hee!

More pictures will follow.

Thanks for stopping by!
