Joyous Noel Picture

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Today I made a beautiful picture inspired by Clairedaly.typepad.com.'s card using the Joyous Noel DSP. I have made my version into a 5"x 7" picture. The Tin Tile Dynamic Impression Embossing Folder is a beautiful highlight on this picture. I also used the Star of Light Stamp Set and the Reversible Merry Merlot and Copper Ribbon. The colors are rich and just gorgeous! I just love how this turned out. Hopefully you will too!

Supplies needed:
5"x7" DSP
4"x6" Merry Merlot Card Stock run through the Big Shot in the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder
3 3/16"x5 3/16" Copper/Tranquil Tide Card Stock
3"x5" Joyous Noel DSP
2 3/16"x2 3/16" Copper/Tranquil Tide Card Stock
2"x2" Joyous Noel DSP
Snowflakes and Stars Copper embellishments
Merry Merlot and Copper Reversible Ribbon
Star of Light Stamp Set
Scrap of Whisper White Card Stock
Tear & Tape
Glue Dots
Pearl embellishment
Memento Ink
5"x7" Picture Frame

After assembling the picture, I placed inside the frame on top of the glass. I found the glass mashed down the beautiful ribbon and didn't do the picture any justice. I did not use a shadowbox frame.

I made a Youtube video tutorial for you.

Hope hope you enjoyed todays post!
Happy Stamping!!

Just the Basics Part 3

Just the Basics Part 3

Stamps and Accessories

Stampin’ Up! carries three types of stamps, Wood Mount, Clear Mount and Photopolymer. To use the Clear Mount and Photopolymer stamps they carry Acrylic Blocks and the new Stamparatus.

Wood Mount Stamps are red rubber stamps mounted on a wood block. These stamps are ready to go, just add ink. They come in a plastic box for easy storage.

Clear Mount Stamps are red rubber stamps un-mounted. To use these stamps you will need the Acrylic Blocks or Stamparatus. The stamps come in a plastic box that is much thinner than the Wood Mount Stamps have so you can store more in the same space.

Photopolymer Stamps are just that, clear stamps made of photopolymer. They are easy to use and lining up your images are a breeze. You will need the Acrylic Blocks or Stamparatus for these stamps as well. They come in a thin plastic box just as the Clear Mounts do, also saving room when storing.

Here is Stampin' Up!'s video about their stamps:

Acrylic Blocks: Stampin’ Up! Acrylic Blocks are the best in my opinion. They are high quality, thick blocks made easy to fit your grip with a nice groove. You can purchase the carrying case for easy storage!

Stamparatus: Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus is a frantastic tool to help you stamp nice straight images. Its hinges let you place the stamp once and move on down the page for multiple images. You can place multiple stamps on the plates to do layer images. You can also place all the stamps on the plates all at once to create an entire card or scrapbook page! If you are shaky, not a problem with the Stamparatus, your images will come out clear. Missed a spot, no problem, just reink and stamp again, it will line up perfectly every time. Saves so much time when you have multiple cards to do with the same image. With the Stamparatus you can pop in your paper, ink, stamp and repeat! All your images will be on your cards in the same spot, just where you want them, nice and straight, fast and easy! (Can you tell that I love the Stamparatus!)

Here is Stampin' Up!'s video on the Stamparatus:

Santa's Workshop Card in a Box

Hello Everybody!
Today I made a sweet little Santa's Workshop Card in a Box. It is so cute. I can't wait to show you how to do it. There is a video to help you step by step! ENJOY!

Card in a box (Rectangle)
(if you received this email from me previously, there is a small correction in the first line)

2 pieces cut at 4”x 6” – scored on the short side at 2” and 5 ½” and on the long side at 2”
On the short side cut to center score line on each of the score lines. On the 5 ½” score line cut off at an angle just below the center score line. Now burnish your score lines.
Glue tabs you just made to the inside of the 2nd piece. Now glue that tab to the inside of the 1st piece. Now burnish all score lines again.

2 pieces cut at 1”x 5” – score each end at ¾”, these are the inside bars. Now burnish your score lines.
Glue the tabs and place in the box so the tabs are glued to the sides but flush with the back. Now take the second one and do the same but make flush with the previous piece.
Hold for a moment to get a good hold then fold box each way to allow the cross pieces to move into place so it can be folded into envelope.

Open box and start adding mats and desired Dsp.

Mat for inside back of box 1 ¾” x 3 ¼”, Dsp 1 5/8”x 3 1/8”
Mat for top front is same as above, do same for outside of box
Mat for sides on top 1 ¾”x 1 ¾”, Dsp 1 5/8”x 1 5/8”, do same for outside of box
Mat for front outside bottom is 1 ¾”x 3 ¼”, Dsp 1 5/8”x 3 1/8”
Mat for both sides on bottom is 1 ¾”x 1 ¾”” , Dsp 1 5/8”x 1 5/8”
On the back you can place whisper white panel 3 ¾”x 3 ¼”and for a stamp or hand written sentiment, It also helps to keep the back straight.

You can glue paper to acrylic strips behind thinner paper and then glue them onto the bars inside where I want them.

There we have it. I hope you enjoyed today's post.
Happy Stamping!
