Down-Line Meeting-Enjoy Life

There was a down-line meeting for our Stampin' Up! group and I made these little gems. I really enjoyed thinking out of the box using the accent stamps instead of the focal stamps.
I just love the way they turned out.

I used the new stamp set "Enjoy Life" with a little hint of the new dsp "Tranquil Textures". The front panel is a bit smaller than the back to create a fun style card. Gotta keep it interesting!

Wish I could give you all of the details but these couple of weeks have been busy.  Let me explain.
We found out the baby my daughter was carrying had a heart defect. Scary.
Well it just went on from there.
We got a call that my daughter had pre-clampsia and she was at the hospital. She was to stay there until the baby was born. Mind you she was only 7 months pregnant. The hospital she had to deliver at was 3+ hours away from her home so her husband couldn't be with her everyday.
So, I get the house in order, pay all of the bills, give hubby a run down of what's what's concerning all and then pack my bags. Two days later we are on the road. Drive 12 hours and land at the hospital. Baby and Daughter were doing good but daughter's BP wouldn't stay stable.
Long story short,
Hubby didn't get to go home because baby had to be delivered and no way was he leaving!!
May 21st we received a beautiful grand daughter. 9.5 weeks early!!
2 lb and 3 oz, a mere 14" long. Kicking and screaming, and well.
They didn't have to do heart surgery at time of delivery but it will happen, when she is stronger. Praise God. My daughter is doing so much better too. We were very lucky not to lose either one of them. We had so many prayers going up for them and they were and still are appreciated.
We are not sure of the long term affects to either mom or baby. Test results are not all in yet and some things we will just have to wait and see as time goes on for our little grand daughter. But we are pleased as peaches today. And we will take it!
Here is a pic of the two of them.

And as I type I got a call saying the cpap can come off ! Another blessing!!

As I am still down here and will be for awhile. I am not sure how these blog post will be. I am hoping to do some thank you cards for the staff at the hospital and Ronald McDonald house where we will be staying for a while. (Yes, of coarse I brought supplies, lol!) A good way to use up retired stuff and still do a kindness. We will see how much we actually get done.

Thanks again for visiting my blog and reading along. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. And thank you for your patients over the next weeks.
